Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly been billed a sum of approximately Rs 2 lakhs by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the demolition of the allegedly illegal ramp outside his house last month. (Also Read: SRK's One Week is up, Civic Body Demolishes Ramp Outside Mannat)
SRK, who is currently in Nepal for a brand endorsement, has reportedly complied with the order and is awaiting a formal notice from the civic body.
The ramp, which ran along SRK's sprawling bungalow Mannat, was used by the actor to park his vanity van, but his neighbours complained that it prevented access to a large portion of the road and blocked the route from Bandstand to Mount Mary Church leading to traffic snarls and congestion.
On February 5, the BMC gave him a week to remove the ramp, failing which they would demolish the structure themselves and charge the actor for expenses. The BMC finally removed the ramp on February 14.
Meanwhile, SRK, who was last seen in Happy New Year, has shot portions of his new film Fan in and around Mannat and is also expected to film some scenes in Nepal.
