He plays Ra.One in Shah RukhKhan's much awaited home production of the same name and ArjunRampal says that the superhero flick is King Khan's mostambitious project ever and he is going all out for it.
Shah Rukh plays the role of G.One in the superheroflick which is being touted as Bollywood's most expensive filmand his passion is the driving force behind it, said Rampal.
"Shah Rukh is leaving no stone unturned for Ra.One. I have worked with Shah Rukh before and seen hiscommitment and passion. However, the kind that I am seeing in Ra.One is unparalleled. The way he is going all out to makethis film extra special is commendable. His passion is just socontagious," Rampal told PTI.
The 38-year-old reunites with Shah Rukh after workingwith him in superhits Om Shanti Om and Don and says thatRa.One is a very special film for him too.
The actor who enjoyed a good run in 2010 withHousefull, Raajneeti and We Are Family, went through arigorous physical transformation to fit into the character ofa villain with superpowers and concentrated on the film'sshooting for weeks at stretch.
"Yes, it was physically a very demanding part. Therewas a certain level of fitness which was required on my partto make this character look extremely believable. Anubhav andShah Rukh were clear that I had to stand out to make theoverall film look great," said Rampal who had to go throughthree and a half months of training for Ra.One, though he isnot complaining.
"It doesn't just happen overnight. There was anintensive training that I had to go through to become thecharacter that goes with the film. I believe it was trulyamazing to be going through this grill. It would be all worthit if the audience appreciates that as well," he said.
The first look of the film has already been unveiledand Rampal vouches for the fact that the scale and visualeffects of Ra.One are the kind that match internationalstandards.
"This is something that I can confidently state that Ra.One is the most ambitious film and expensive film thatis being made out of India. The film is about superheroes andwhen you explore such a genre, you have to go all out to makeit something special," said the actor.
Last time when Rampal and Shah Rukh came face to face,there were fireworks galore in Om Shanti Om. In Ra.One, itexpected to be far more grand and deadly.
"I can promise though that you are going to see somegreat chemistry between the two characters which is muchrequired in this film. In that context, there is a lot tooffer," said the actor.
