New Delhi:
The countdown to the 13th edition of the IIFA awards in the lion city of Singapore has begun. And, for those of you who have been wondering if the pint sized Shahid Kapoor will be able to hold his own as the master of ceremonies, giving him company on stage will be jack of all trades Farhan Milkha Akhtar. Yes, the actor- filmmaker-singer will be the Kapoor lad's co-host at the main ceremony.
With Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara leading the nominations, it seems like it's going to be Farhan's big night out in Singapore on June 9.
Though the organisers have been tight lipped about their star performers, we at NDTV have managed to get a sneak peek at the roster of performers. Sizzling on stage will be Beedi girl Bipasha Basu, the new Chammak Challo on the block Sonakshi Sinha, nimble feet Shahid Kapoor, and the flexible Prabhu Deva.
New kid on the block Ayushmann Khurrana makes his first trip to Singapore as host of IIFA Rocks and blushed a deep shade of red when his co-host for the event, Chitrangda Singh, called him a rather excited sperm.
The two actors will be hosting the event which will also have designers Suneet Verma, Varun Bahl and Masaba Gupta showcase their collections.
And, in the absence of old patrons the Bachchans and the Khans, the organisers promise that IIFA this time will be far entertaining than any other.
