Shahid Kapoor bonded big time with choreographer-turned-director Prabhu Deva at the IIFA awards held in Singapore recently.
Now we hear that Shahid has been signed up to do Prabu Deva's next film titled Namak. The project is based on the drug trade in Madhya Pradesh and will see the actor do some high-power action. (Read: Shahid Kapoor wants to do more films)
A source said, "Prabhu Deva has been keen that he signs Shahid for the film. He has seen his performance in Vishal Bharadwaj's Kaminey. He will however give him the mass entertaining image. Shahid was keen to also see the feedback that he receives as Javed in the 1910 period of his upcoming film Teri Meri Kahaani, as that is a character that will interest the masses. To top it all, both Shahid and Prabhu Deva bonded big time at a recently concluded award ceremony making it easier for Shahid to sign the film."
