Shahid dismissed reports that his father is on the lookout for a girl for him

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoortoday dismissed reports about his father actor Pankaj Kapoorlooking for a girl for him and said that he will choose hislife partner himself.
Recently, there were reports that Shahid's father hadmade a few trips to Punjab to find a girl for his son."I can promise you that my father is not looking forany girl for me. When I read that article I was shooting forHaider in Kashmir and my father was shooting for FindingFanny in Goa. And according to the article my father was inPunjab. So no truth in it," Shahid told PTI.
"He (father) goes there (Punjab) because some of ourfamily and his spiritual guru is there. People are drawing adifferent meaning out of it. He will never take the pressureon himself (of looking for a girl), because I am quitefinicky. And I like making my own choices," he said.
When asked what he feels about the absence of love in his life, he says that it has its pros and cons.Shahid asserts that as far as marriage is concerned,he would choose his own life partner. "I will not marry a girlof father's choice, because he doesn't have to stay with thegirl, I have to stay. And he knows this thing," he added.
In the past, Shahid was reportedly in a relationshipwith Kareena Kapoor. Later he also reportedly dated VidyaBalan and Priyanka Chopra. He has also been linked with actressesNargis Fakhri, Bipasha Basu, Anushka Sharma and Huma Qureshi.
When asked what he looks for in a girl, Shahid says,"I have not thought about it so much. When you fall in loveeverything seems right. If I fall in love that will be goodenough."
