Shahid Kapoor at the IIFA Awards in Kuala Lumpur on June 7
Mumbai:
Shahid Kapoor might be zealously guarding details of his upcoming wedding to Mira Rajput, but sources close to the actor have spilled the beans about what will be on the guests' plates.
Says a source, "A simple vegetarian spread will be laid out on the occasion. And this menu has nothing to do with Shahid's food habits. His and Mira's families are strong followers of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, a spiritual organisation. It was with the blessings of their guru that the match was arranged. Since the guruji will attend the wedding, it has been decided that the menu will include only vegetarian items."
The wedding which is rumoured to take place on July 10 will apparently take place in Delhi where Mira's family is based. While the marriage ceremony will be an intimate affair with only family members and close friends in attendance, the reception is expected to be held on a lavish scale. "The who's who of the industry will be invited for the reception party where there will be a lavish spread of vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian delicacies," adds the source.
Shahid could not be reached for comment.
