Mumbai:
Actor Shahid Kapoor has turned downfilmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra's movie Chitthiyan.
The actor was approached by Chopra to play one of themale leads in Chitthiyan, which he refused.
"I am not doing Chitthiyan...there was someconversation regarding the film. But I am not doing it,"Shahid told reporters at an event here.
For Chitthiyan, a love triangle, Chopra has alreadysigned actor Sharman Joshi and is in search of another malestar. Earlier, actor Ranbir Kapoor too had refused the film.
Shahid's previous film Mausam was also a love story,that had failed to click at the box office.
The actor has just completed Kunal Kohli's tentativelytitled Teri Meri Kahaani, a period love story oppositePriyanka Chopra.
He has also signed another Yash Raj Film, to be directedby Maneesh Sharma of Band Baaja Baarat fame.
