Shakira in a still from Waka Waka.
London:
Colombian singer Shakira's hit song Waka Waka has crossed one billion views on YouTube.
The official 2010 FIFA World Cup theme has helped Shakira become only the third Latin artist to achieve the impressive feat, following in the footsteps of Bruno Mars and his Uptown Funk collaboration with Mark Ronson, and Enrique Iglesias and his 2014 single Bailando.
Shakira shared her excitement on Twitter:
Shakira famously met and fell in love with her partner, Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique, while shooting the video in the spring of 2010.
The couple are now proud parents to two sons, three-year-old Milan and one-year-old Sasha. (Also Read: Shakira, Gerard Pique Bring Baby Home on Their Birthday)
