Director R Balki's Shamitabh, starring Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush, collected Rs 8.25 crore in two days. (Also read - Film Review: Shamitabh)
Mr Bachchan plays a voice artist, who lip syncs for a mute actor, played by Dhanush, in the film which released on February 6.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the opening weekend collections of Shamitabh:
