Mumbai:
Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, who hosted the Bhojpuri version of popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) has filed a complaint with Cine and TV Artists Association for not receiving his dues.
Shatrughan hosted the Bhojpuri version of the show - Ke Bane Crorepati that was aired on Mahuua channel.
"He (Shatrughan) has filed a complaint with us. As per our norms we have forwarded the complaint to the channel. We wait for seven days for them to reply on it. As of now, we haven't received any response from them," Dharmesh Tiwari, General Secretary, CINTAA, told PTI.
"We won't be able to talk about the action part now," he added.
Reportedly, the 65-year-old actor did speak to the channel regarding his fee before filing the complaint.
Besides Shatrughan, even the guests who appeared on the show including Hema Malini, Dharmendra, Sonakshi Sinha and Govinda have also not received the winning amount, that has been declared for charity.
"Only Shatrughan Sinha has filed a complaint with us. No one else has filed or approached us yet on this matter," Tiwari said.
About the norms, Tiwari said, "We give the opposite party (in this case the channel) a chance to present their side of the story. If they do not reply within seven days then we sent them a reminder. Even if they do not respond, then Federation of Western India Cine Artists, the prime body of all associations, steps in."
