Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, whohas done a sizzling item number Sheila ki Jawaani for herupcoming film Tees Maar Khan, feels that the song is one ofthe raunchiest she has ever shot.
"It was kind of a learning experience for me. I don'ttake the song being called item number as an offence. There isexposure in the song but it is more about attitude and I wasspecific about it. It is about dancing with openness and notbeing inhibited," Katrina said during an interaction here.
"It had be one of the raunchiest songs I have evershot," she added.
The actress, who showcased a rarely seen avatar of hersin the song, said she had watched many DVDs of old films priorto doing Sheila ki Jawaani.
"Farah gave me a lot of DVDs of older movies not toimitate or emulate. I can never do that even if I wanted tobut just to see the way Madhuriji (Dixit) dances and the joyshe felt while dancing... how focused and involved she was,"Katrina said.
Tees Maar Khan, an action-comedy stars Akshay Kumar andKatrina in the lead and with Akshaye Khanna in a cameo. SalmanKhan and Anil Kapoor too have made special appearances in thefilm, which is releasing on December 24.
The movie is about a criminal who is 'fearless andshameless' known as Tees Maar Khan.
"In the movie, Akshay plays the role of a conman and Iplay his love interest, who is a wannabe actress called Anya.She signs a B-grade film in which she is called Sheila,"Katrina said.
The actress said the film's director Farah Khan, who hadearlier made Main Hoo Naa and Om Shanti Om, had thetendency to make her heroines glamorous in her own way, whichothers couldn't emulate.
"I do every film for a different reason. For Rajneeti Ihad to experience that kind of world that Prakashji creates...the dramatic approach. Farah's approach is to present herheroine in a glamorous way but in a particular style. It is atouch that any other director cannot bring," she said.
"The women in Farah's films are very glamorous. And thehighlights for me were the songs. And she did not let me down.Everything from looks to what I was looking to portray farexceeded what I have done before," she added.
