Filmmaker Shekha Kapur is making his directorial comeback after seven years

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, who is making his comeback as a film director after seven years, has finally managed to cast all his actors for his upcoming movie, Paani, set to release in the year 2015. Having finalised actor Sushant Singh Rajput to play the lead, the filmmaker has signed actor Ayesha Kapoor, who is best remembered for playing the young Michelle McNally in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black(2005).
Even though Mr Kapur was keen on casting a major Hollywood actor like Jennifer Lawrence or Emma Watson for lead role, he went ahead, on producer Aditya Chopra's insistence, to cast Ayesha who has apparently signed a three film deal with Yash Raj Films, the official producers of Paani.
