Actor Shekhar Suman had a narrow escape from what could have been a serious accident after a light nearly fell on his head while he was performing a play at Gujarat University in Ahmedabad.
Mr Suman tweeted about the accident which occurred while he was performing the 48th show of Saif Hyder Hasan's play Ek Mulaqaat:
"The auditorium authorities need to realise that maintenance is the key. The Gujarat Convention Centre has good but ill maintained equipment," mid-day.com quoted the director of the play, Saif Hyder Hasan, as saying.
Shekhar Suman's co-star in the play was actress Deepti Naval.
Shekhar Suman, 54, is best known for his roles in TV shows such as Dekh Bhai Dekh, Reporter, Movers n Shakers and Simply Shekhar. He has also co-judged stand-up comedy shows such as The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and Comedy Circus. In 2014, he directed the film Heartless which starred his son Adhyayan in the lead.
