The city-based Shillong ChamberChoir would sing with Amitabh Bachchan at the opening of theseason six of the Kaun Banega Crorepati on September 7.
"The Shillong Chamber Choir will be singing in theopening episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati on Friday on SONYchannel," Damon Lyndem, an official of the choir, told PTI.
The megastar will also be singing with the choir on amedley of songs, arranged by Neil Nongkynrih, the choir'sfounder and conductor.
During the preliminary practice sessions that thechoir group and Bachchan had, Lyndem claimed Mr Bachchan wasimpressed at the performance of the team.
"By far, the most delightful moment of the day wasmeeting and seeing the Shillong Choir, a young group of boysand girls from the North East, performing some wonderfulrenditions of... ahah... cannot disclose all that just yet,songs," Mr Bachchan said in his blog.
Founded in 2001, the Shillong Chamber Choir shot tofame after it won the a reality talent show, India's GotTalent (Season 2) in October 2010, where itperformed western chorals, as well as choral-style revamps ofHindi film classics.
