Shilpa received a special award at the Star Paarivar Awards

Post the IPL 2013 spot-fixingcontroversy, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty made her firstpublic appearance at the glitzy Star Paarivar Awards here.
The 38-year-old actress accompanied 'India's dancingsuperstar' mentor Riteish Deshmukh at the ceremony held at theYash Raj Studio here.
Dressed in a black and white fusion outfit Shilpa wasgiven a special award at the event.
Commenting on the IPL controversy surrounding her andhusband Raj Kundra, the actress said, "I need to be carefulnow as I am going through a bad phase. But I am reallyhonoured that I have bagged this special award. I always getnervous when I get an award because I haven't got many in mycareer."
The event was choreographed by Shiamak Davar and itwas his first endeavour to design dance performances for asmall screen award.
"I have choreographed for TV for the first time and Ienjoyed the process. My mother is my inspiration and hersupport encourages me to do something unique and bettereverytime," he said at the gala event.
Later, the evening was attended by Sonakshi Sinha andImran Khan, who promoted their upcoming venture Once Upon aTime in Mumbaai Again.
The Star Parivaar awards were introduced by Star Plusin 2003 and the function will be aired soon on TV.
