It is time for celebration at the Shetty household as it is actress Shilpa Shetty's mother, Sunanda Shetty 's birthday. On the happy occasion, the doting daughter has penned a special note for mommy dearest. Along with the note, Shilpa has shared a montage video containing images – new and old – on Instagram. The lovely clip features several photos of a baby Shilpa posing with her mother Sunanda, both looking gorgeous as always. Sharing the video, Shilpa said, “My WORLD, my rock, my bestie, my cheerleader, my force, my sun, moon and ever-shining STAR. Happy birthday to you! Wishing you great health and miles of smiles always.”
Shilpa Shetty's sister, actress Shamita Shetty also shared a post on the happy occasion. Posting a photo with her mother, Shamita wrote, “Happy birthday to the strongest woman I have known…my mama. You are the epitome of grace and dignity. Thank you for everything you do and for teaching me to be strong and stand fearless for what I believe in. I don't know what we would be without you. Love u, ma to the moon and back,” and tagged her mom.
Replying to Shamita Shetty's post, actor Aamir Ali dropped a heart emoji. Actress Mouni Roy said, "Happy happy to aunty." Shamita's Bigg Boss co-contestant, Pratik Sehajpal said, “Mashallah. God bless always,” with a heart emoji.
Previously too, the Shetty sisters have shared pictures and videos with their mother Sunanda. Earlier this year, Shilpa Shetty shared a set of pictures with her mother and added a note of gratitude. She said, “Our elders are a treasure trove of wisdom, patience, experience, and love. The heaviest weights we carry become rather easy to offload after a simple conversation with them. Even when they aren't here, I'm sure they're always looking out for us. Love them, respect them, and be there for them. It's a blessing that should never be taken for granted.”
Meanwhile, on Mother's Day, Shamita Shetty shared a video of throwback moments with her mom and said, “Thankyou ma for being you. You have been my greatest teacher. Thank you for never giving up on me... pushing me out of my comfort zone... and loving me. Love you to the moon and back.”
On the work front, Shilpa Shetty had a big screen release after 14 years with the family comedy Nikamma, which hit the theatres last week. Meanwhile, Shamita Shetty was last seen as one of the finalists of Bigg Boss 15.
