It's probably going to be my most difficult film till date. Wish me luck everyone. Saina is going to be directed by Amole Gupte and is produced by T series."
Director Amole Gupte, who is best known for his work as the creative director in Aamir Khan's Taare Zameen Par, has reportedly been researching on the life of Saina Nehwal.
In fact, Saina Nehwal had recently told news agency PTI, that she wants actress Deepika Padukone to 'portray her in the biopic.' She told The Times of India, "Whoa! That's news to me. I was aware of the film, yes, but I didn't know about the casting. It's great if Shraddha plays me because she is a very talented actress and very hardworking. I am sure she will do justice to the role."
Saina and Shraddha have also been friends and the player is also eager to teach Shraddha some of the badminton skills. She told The Times of India, "The best part is, she is a good friend as well. So it will be easier to teach her some badminton skills (laughs!). A lot of people did tell me that we do look similar and I think that's a huge compliment, because Shraddha is very good looking."
