New Delhi: For actress Shraddha Kapoor it was not easy to match steps with co-stars Varun Dhawan and other dancers in the upcoming Remo D'Souza's drama Any Body Can Dance 2, a sequel of 2013 movie of the same name.

Shraddha, 26, who did an item song in Karan Johar's Ungli, said it was a challenge for her to be a part of the movie because she is not a trained dancer.

"To look like a part of the team was very hard for me. It was both mentally and physically challenging. I have never done the level of dancing Varun and the other actors do in the film. I have never danced in any of my movies and suddenly I got the offer to be a part of this project. I wish I had trained myself more while I was doing this," she told PTI.

The Disney film, releasing on June 19, will see Remo's dancing stars Dharmesh Yelande, Lauren Gottlieb, Raghav Juyal, Punit Pathak reprise their roles.

Shraddha said it was a life-changing experience for her to work in the film as she has become more conscious about her fitness.

"The kind of dance we did in the film, it demands a certain amount of physical strength and endurance. It kind of changed my life because I could see a change in my body. I could see my mentality changing. I have become a little bit more conscious about what I eat because I am a foodie. It is very nice to see those changes happening to me," said Sharddha.

Like any girl in an Indian household, the Ek Villain actress also tried her luck in various dance forms but she is master of none.

"I have always loved dancing. I have done little bit of dance with Shiamak Davar when I was 11-year-old. I also danced with Ashley Lobo's company. I even attended few classes of ballet when I was younger. I learnt Kathak in school. That's how I didn't learn dance full time. But in this film, I got to explore it," she said.

She learnt 20 new dance forms for the film and the actress is happy that Remo gave everyone their due credit in the film.

"Remo sir wanted us to do quite a few dance forms. He made us do some 20 dance forms but when you will watch the movie you will get to see that sir has deliberately kept a lot of wide shots so that you can see the whole group dancing together. This is a very important part of the film." Her partially solo act Sun Saathiya from the film has earned her praises.

"I wanted to rehearse more for the song but we had a tight schedule. I had only four days to rehearse for it. But I am happy that people liked it," she said.
