Actress Shriya Saran has been finalised as the female lead of Nandamuri Balakrishna's Telugu historical film Gauthamiputra Satakarni, which is the actor's 100th film.
"We have finalised Shriya. All her paperwork will be done by this weekend," producer, Y Rajeev Reddy, told IANS.
The film will be directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Krish and also stars Hema Malini and Kabir Bedi.
Gauthamiputra Satakarni is the story of an unsung warrior from Satavahana dynasty and is being made on an extravagant budget.
Shriya has featured in films like Mission Istaanbul, Rowthiram, Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai, Drishyam and Oopiri.
Meanwhile, Balakrishna, who turned 56 on Friday, is currently in the US to support a charity-related event.
The makers will start the next schedule of the film in Hyderabad after Balakrishna returns.
