Actress Shruti Haasan, who will be seen in the period drama Sanghamitra, is prepping hard for her role for the film. Shruti is currently taking fighting for the Sundar C directed-film. The 31-year-old actress shared a video from the training session on Instagram and wrote, "And it begins!! Day 1. Fight training for Sangamithra (sic)." Sanghamitra also stars Arya and Jayam Ravi. The film went on floors this month and Shruti will join the cast in May, reports news agency IANS. "It will be the biggest project of her career so far. She is very excited because her role will give her an opportunity to attempt something she hasn't done so far," IANS quoted a source close to Shruti as saying.

Of the film, the Ramaiya Vastavaiya actress earlier told The Hindu, "All I can say is I am thankful to Sundar sir for selecting me and I've begun preparing for the film."
Sanghamitra is reportedly made under a budget of Rs 150 crore and is produced by Sri Thenandal Films. It will release simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, reports IANS.
Shruti Haasan, daughter of actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika, was last seen in Katamarayudu opposite Pawan Kalyan. "I look at Pawan Kalyan a little differently from my other co-stars. He worked with me at a time when many others were doubtful of my ability," Shruti told The Hindu. Katamarayudu is a remake of Tamil film Veeram. Earlier this year, she also featured in the blockbuster film Singam 3 opposite Suriya.
Shruti Haasan also stars in the Bollywood film Behen Hogi Teri opposite Rajkummar Rao. The film hits the theatres on May 26.
