Mumbai:
Actress Shveta Salve married her fiancé Harmeet Sethi on April 24, 2012 in Goa, and the lovely lady is undoubtedly very excited and happy.
"My friends have been tweeting about my marriage and putting up pictures on social networking sites, so I guess everyone was bound to find out," she laughed.
Admitting that she's "super happy" with life post-marriage, the dusky actress revealed her state of mind.
"Ever since Harmeet proposed to me last year, we had planned to have the wedding sometime in April this year. We wanted to do the wedding somewhere out of Mumbai. After deliberating on places like Thailand (that's where Harmeet proposed) and Kerala, we decided upon Goa. After all, home is where the heart is and our heart lies in Goa," she smiled.
Shveta has also bought a house for herself in Goa.
Elaborating on the wedding, Shweta said, "Harmeet has truly given me a dream wedding. The celebrations started in Mumbai with a haldi ceremony, followed by the Goa celebrations that included a mehndi brunch and sangeet. Our friends put up some fun dance-acts and then the next day was the wedding. Since I'm a Maharashtrian, the wedding was also held in true Maharashtrian style with me dressed in a Navvari sari. We also a Punjabi ardaas later and we exchanged vows after sunset. The next day was a shack party where we let our hair down with all our friends."
The honeymoon will have to wait though, as Shveta comes back to shoot for a Marathi film and even Harmeet, who runs an entertainment company, will get busy with his projects.
"But we're planning to visit Prague next month. For the moment, I just can't seem to get rid of this grin on my face." Shveta laughed.
