Simon Cowell has finallyfound the second member of the 'X Factor' judging panel. The former Chairman of Island Def Jam records, Antonio"LA" Reid will join Cowell, 51, on the panel of the realityshow.
Though names like Paula Abdul and Cheryl Cole havelong been floated as judge possibilities, Cowell says theGrammy-winner, 54, was top of mind when it came to picking thepanel, Us magazine reported.
"LA was my number one choice to sit alongside me onthe show. In my opinion, he is one of the greatest ever musicexecutives and of course a fantastic writer and producer. I amthrilled he has agreed to join the show, and for any artistauditioning, they know they have the chance to meet a truestar-maker," Cowell said.
Three time Grammy winner Reid has beeninstrumental in finding talents like Justin Bieber, KanyeWest, Jay-Z and Mariah Carey.
"I am proud to stand next to my dear friend Simon, oneof the world's most gifted and charismatic talent magnets. TheX Factor provides an extraordinary opportunity for aspiringartists of every age and genre to showcase their uniquetalents. I truly look forward to discovering our nextgeneration of superstars," Reid said.
