Sinead O'Connor is reportedly receiving medical treatment
Dublin:
After posting a Facebook status that read like a suicide note, singer Sinead O'Connor has been located and is reportedly receiving medical assistance after taking an alleged overdose in a hotel room in Ireland.
A source told Billboard that Sinead O'Connor 'has been located and is safe.'
In her Facebook post on Sunday, Sinead O'Connor wrote that she was staying at a hotel in Ireland 'under a different name'.
Over the last 24 hours, there have been a series of disturbing posts on Sinead O'Connor's Facebook page, stemming from a battle with Irish folk musician Lunny, the father of her youngest son Shane, whom the singer alleges needs psychological treatment. She has also accused Lunny of not allowing her to see him despite the fact that he was 'unwell.'
Dublin police refrained from commenting about the situation.
