Folk singer Arlo Guthrie hasannounced the death of his wife Jackie at age 68.
An obituary released by Guthrie's record label saysJackie Guthrie had inoperable cancer and died on Sunday at thecouple's winter home in Florida. They had recently celebratedtheir 43rd wedding anniversary.
In a Facebook posting, Guthrie says his relationship withhis wife was "a very great love."The couple also shared a home in Washington, in westernMassachusetts. Guthrie's website says he's cancelling orpostponing some upcoming shows and will begin a planned tourin Canada next week.
Jackie Guthrie grew up in Malibu, California, and metArlo Guthrie in 1968 while she was working as a cashier in afamous Hollywood club, The Troubador. She is survived by fivechildren and 10 grandchildren.
