London:
Singer Gary Barlow is devastated after his wife Dawn delivered a stillborn.
The couple, who have children Daniel, 11, Emily, 9, and Daisy, 3, appealed for privacy as they focus on arranging a funeral for baby Poppy.
"Dawn and I are devastated to announce that we have lost our baby. Poppy Barlow was delivered stillborn. Our focus now is giving her a beautiful funeral and loving our three children with all our hearts. We'd ask at this painful time that our privacy be respected," Barlow said in a statement, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
The two married in 2000, five years after they met. Gary Barlow announced he was to be a father again in February and revealed weeks later that his wife was carrying a girl.
He spoke of how important being a parent is after he was crowned 'celebrity dad of the year'.
"I have been waiting for it for a long time. My children are really excited and I don't think they can quite believe it. Being a dad is a really important part of my life and it means a lot to me," he said.
