Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who is working with Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth in director K S Ravikumar's upcoming film Linga, congratulated the actor on completing 40 years in the movie business by presenting him with a cake alongwith the film's team.
The actress posted a picture of the cake on Twitter along with the tweet:
Rajinikanth, who has done more than 170 films in multiple languages, is considered one of the biggest superstars in Indian film industry ever, with a fan following that spans not just the Tamil speaking regions of India and Southeast Asia, but also Europe and Japan where his films are widely appreciated. The actor's last release was the 3D animation film Kochadaiyaan, directed by his daughter Soundarya Ashwin, which failed to live upto the hype surrounding it. Linga also stars Anushka Shetty in an important role.
