Mumbai:
Sonakshi Sinha wants to break free. Ever since her success as a desi chick in blockbusters like Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore, the image and the saree has stuck.
Now buzz is that the actress wants to experiment with western silhouettes on screen and has already lost some kilos to put this plan in action.
Apparently, with this in mind, Sonakshi Sinha demanded an image makeover for her Janmashtami item number in Akshay Kumar's forthcoming home production Oh My God.
A source said, "Sonakshi is bored of her Indian avatar and wanted a change in her look for the track. Designer Ashley Rebello had to shuffle his designs and accessorise the look differently."
The actress herself wanted a young and trendy look.
She said, "The costume consists of torn jeans, choli and shirt tied on top with an ethnic touch of a Mahashtrian nathni. This song had to look different from the regular item songs and so we decided to go with the jeans."
The actress has also reportedly celebrated her substantial weight loss by doing around six photo sessions in western wear recently. Sources who have seen the pictures have gone, 'wow.'
