Sonam Kapoor admires Farhan Akhtar for his versatility

Actress Sonam Kapoor says she agreedto do a small part in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag as she is a hugefan of actor-director Farhan Akhtar, who plays the protagonistin the movie.
"I did the film because I think Prasoon Joshi wrote themost incredible script that I have ever read. I was cryingwhile I was reading it," Sonam told PTI.
"I don't have a big role in the film; it is really a smallrole. I wanted to work with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra(director), he makes me feel beautiful. I wanted to work withFarhan Akhtar," the 28-year-old actress said.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is based on the life legendaryathlete Milkha Singh.Sonam revealed that she is a big fan of themulti-talented Farhan, who has displayed his versatility as anactor, director, producer and singer.
"When I got the opportunity to work with him, I was morethan happy. Even if it's a small chance, to share a smallframe with him, even if he does not direct me or works with meagain, I can tell everyone I worked with Farhan. I did 20 daysof work with him and it was very cool," she said.
Sonam said she was fine with being a small part of a verygood film rather than doing a not so good film.
The young actress is also elated with the success of herrecently released romantic drama 'Raanjhana' opposite Dhanush.Directed by Anand L Rai, the film opened in theatres on June21 and has reportedly done a business of over Rs 31 crore tillnow.
Sonam said she was quite nervous and scared aboutRaanjhana.But she is happy for everybody involved with the project,be it her co-star Dhanush or director Anand L Rai and others.Sonam said she is happy for not letting any of them down.
"I am not saying it has to join a certain Rs 100 croreclub or something like that. But it is important for the filmto be watched and liked by the people," she said.
"For me it is not about the film becoming the biggest hitever but about people seeing, appreciating and loving thefilm. And that is not the criteria of success...it is the loveyou get from audience," the actress said.
Apart from her siblings and cousins, Sonam's father AnilKapoor is also happy and proud of her success. "It is sweetand emotional," she said.
