Mumbai:
Actress Sonam Kapoor said that the makers of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo had to tell her that the film's collections were good as she doesn't understand numbers.
"I don't understand numbers. I just don't get how it works. I used to receive a call from the co-producer every day about the collections. I would say, 'Is it good or bad?' They said, 'It's very good.' This film has made such numbers. So obviously, many people have watched the film," said Sonam.(Also Read: Salman Khan's New Prem Makes Box Office Explode Like Diwali Cracker)
Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo released on November 12. Several celebrities, including Shilpa Shetty, Sridevi, Helen and Waheeda Rehman, have Dubsmashed the title track of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
"Everybody is congratulating me. What I love is that I'm getting calls and messages from people, who've never messaged or called in my life. They are not from the industry. I've been getting a lot of calls from Indians abroad, who're watching the film and missing home so much. For me, that is the best thing, when something affects you emotionally in the best way," added Sonam.
Recently, Sonam was trolled on social media for her 'misogynistic' remark on the meat ban in Mumbai.
"Predominantly, I receive a lot of negativity on the social media. But now, I'm receiving only positivity and that is overwhelming for me on a different scale. Thanks to Salman Khan and Sooraj sir. It has nothing to do with me. But I'm very happy," said Sonam.
