Actress Sonam Kapoor, who will be seen playing the role of Neerja Bhanot in an upcoming biopic, remembered the late flight attendant on her 52nd birth anniversary. (Also Read: Sonam Kapoor: Neerja My Most Special Film)
Sonam saluted the "Unflinching Spirit" of Neerja, who was the chief flight attendant of the fated Pan Am Flight 73 and lost her life while helping passengers escape from the grounded plane. The Pan Am Flight 73 was hijacked while on the ground in Karachi on September 5, 1986. Neerja was only 22.
