Sonam Kapoor first worked as an assitant director in Black

Actress Sonam Kapoor has expressedher desire to direct films.
Before starting her career as an actress, Sonam worked asan assistant director under Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Black,which was released in early 2005.
"Apart from being an actress, I want to direct films. Maybe this will happen after ten years," Sonam told PTI.The 28-year-old actress made her acting debut withBhansali's Saawariya, which failed at the box actress.
After a string of flops including Thank You, Mausamand Players, Sonam is now gearing up for Anand L Rai'sRaanjhanaa, where she will be seen essaying the role of agirl next door.
The 28-year-old is looking forward to two other bigprojects - Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Khoobsurat remake -besides a YRF untitled film opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.In 'Khoobsurat' remake, Sonam will play afree-spirited girl and she says the film is the moderninterpretation of Rekha starrer Hrishikesh Mukherjee's 1980hit.
Sonam's sister Rhea is producing the film, which is hersecond movie after Aisha.
