Amidst the distressing news of people losing their loved ones to the pandemic, the singer, through his soulful voice, spread optimism and hope to combat the deadly virus. Sonu Nigam, who was at an inauguration event of an isolation centre, sang the title track from the film Kal Ho Naa Ho. This popular song talks about living life to its fullest. Along with the video, Sonu Nigam wrote a heart-warming note. The caption of his post reads, “#KalHoNaaHo. This song, for me, is a prayer and has a unique healing touch. Hope it gives you strength to march ahead with a positive perspective...Let's spread positivity, reinforce hope and do our bit in whatever possible way.” Sonu Nigam added a special disclaimer further, which read, “P.S. - Singing this wearing a mask.”

The 47-year-old music icon also uploaded a few stills from the event on social media. In the caption, Sonu Nigam revealed, “All of us can make a difference and help in our own capacities. Inaugurated an Oxygen bank and an isolation centre for COVID-19 patients' families (as they are also at high risk).” He has also been at the forefront to promote ‘Mission Oxygen.' He has requested everyone to donate for the cause.
