Veteran Malayalam film actorJagathy Sreekumar, undergoing treatment for serious injuriessuffered in a road accident, was making satisfactory progress,doctors attending on him said today.
'Jagathy's general condition is satisfactory. There issteady improvement in his level of consciousness and recoverymay take sometime', a bulletin issued by the Malabar Instituteof Medical Sciences (MIMS) hospital said today.
Stating that physiotherapy had been started, it saidSreekumar was able to breath himself without ventilatorsupport most of the time. "He will be kept on a very minimalventilator support during night," it said.
Anil Kumar, the driver of Sreekumar's car which met withthe accident on March 10 and admitted to the hospital withinjuries, was discharged today, the bulletin said.
Sreekumar, who suffered serious multiple injuries when hiscar hit the road divider at nearby Tenhipalam in Malappuramdistrict, had undergone various surgeries.
