The premiere will be held on Thursday, while the film is slated to release across 33 screens in Japan on June 28.
Akie Abe, wife of Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and popular Japanese singer Agnes Chan will be present for the premiere of the film, which had a worldwide release in October 2012.
It is following the exceptional success of the Gauri Shinde-directorial in new markets like Hong Kong, Germany, Taiwan and Korea that Eros International Media Ltd decided to give the movie a wide release in Japan.
The buzz for the film in Japan began last year itself when Shinde was invited to attend the prestigious Aichi International Women's Film Festival in August 2013 for the screening of the film. (Also read:Sridevi to Use Japanese Look to Promote English Vinglish)
