Sridevi offends Tusshar Kapoor with Himmatwala comment
It's Sridevi vs Tusshar
New Delhi: Actress Sridevi, who is making a comeback after nearly 15 years in Gauri Shinde's English Vinglish, recently made a statement about her hit 1983 film Himmatwala which has not gone down well with actor Tusshar Kapoor, son of Sridevi's co-star in the film, Jeetendra.

Himmatwala, the film that made Sridevi a star, is currently being remade with Ajay Devgn and south actress Tamannaah in the lead. According to a report published in The Times Of India, Sridevi said in reference to the remake, "Himmatwala is no Mughal-e-Azam."

A comment that Jeetendra's son Tusshar took exception to. "How can she run down a film that has given her identity in Bollywood and is one of the biggest hits of her career?" asked Tusshar in a separate report in The Times Of India.

Tusshar, who is a big fan of the film, further added, "My dad and Sridevi were terrific in that film and though the critics panned it because it was a potboiler; I defend it because it is one of the films that my father is most identified with."
