SSMB29 is one of the most-anticipated upcoming films, considering Mahesh Babu and director SS Rajamouli have joined forces.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for an update on SSMB29. Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu were seen arriving for a puja today at the Aluminium Factory in Hyderabad.
They were then joined by the rest of the film team and SS Rajamouli's wife, Rama Rajamouli. The visuals from the event have gone viral online, and fans are super excited.

Initially, Pinkvilla had confirmed that Priyanka Chopra Jonas would play the female lead in the film. However, she has yet to confirm that she is a part of the movie.
A source told Pinkvilla, "The film is in the final stages of writing, and is all set to go on floors in April 2025. SS Rajamouli was looking for a female lead with a global presence; and who better than Priyanka to play the lead role. The filmmaker had multiple meetings with PC over the last 6 months, and the energies have aligned for both the stakeholders."
The source further added that it is an action-oriented role, and hence Priyanka is excited to be in the movie. She has reportedly started prepping for it too.
As for the remaining cast, Prithviraj Sukumaran is also a part of the project, and will be playing the role of the antagonist. It will be a two-part epic saga.
Pinkvilla has also confirmed that the first part is slated to hit the screens in 2027, while the second part will be released in 2029.
