Los Angeles: American stand-up comedian Patrice O'Neal, who recently performed at the Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen, suffered a stroke last week.
The information was revealed by the 41-year-old comedian's friend on the Opie and Anthony Show, reports tmz.com.
O'Neal's friend, Jim Norton, made the announcement on the air Wednesday and said, "We wanted it to come from us ... we don't know how he is. We don't know how he's going to be."
Norton added, "I didn?t want to do this by myself. I wish we had more news for you."
