Star Trek Into Darkness, thelatest installment of the sci-fi series, is set to hit thescreens in India on May 10, a week ahead of its internationalrelease.
Viacom 18 Motion Pictures has decided to release thedirector JJ Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness a week beforeits international release on May 17. The film serves as asequel to the 2009 high-octane movie Star Trek.
"For the story to move forward, this had to be a moreambitious movie than the first. The action and the scale arelight years ahead. Bringing IMAX and 3D technology in willgive audiences yet another level of excitement and fun to behad," said JJ Abrams in a statement.
The film revolves around the home-coming of the crew ofUSS Enterprise just to discover that an unstoppable force hasattacked Starfleet and left Earth in chaos.
Director has returned with the cast of Star Trek forhis latest film.
Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana,Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, John Cho, and Bruce Greenwood willreprise their roles from the previous film. The two new facesin the film are Benedict Cumberbatch and Alice Eve.
Star Trek Into Darkness will release in Imax and 3D inEnglish, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
