The Hollywood veteran is reportedly brainstorming withwriter Mark Protosevich to reboot the lucrative franchise fora fourth movie.

The director is already set to launch the televisionseries Terra Nova on Fox besides working on the ideas for apossible revival of dinosaurs on the big screen, the HollywoodReporter said.

Several years ago, the Oscar-winning director workedwith Protosevich on a potential remake of Chan-wook Park'sOldboy that was to star Will Smith.

That film ran into rights problems and didn't come tofruition, but Spielberg, who directed the first two JurassicPark films and was an executive producer on the third, hassince met twice with Protosevich to fashion a story for apotential fourth film in the franchise.

The franchise, born of the late Michael Crichton's1990 novel, has been in cold storage since 2001, when JoeJohnston directed 'Jurassic Park III' from a script by PeterBuchman, Jim Taylor and Alexander Payne.

The third film grossed just USD 369 million worldwidewhile Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Parkgrossed USD 915 million and USD 619 million, respectively.
