Steven Spielberg has not directed a movie since 2012's Lincoln.

Director Steven Spielberg is associated with many projects currently but his first release since Lincoln will be a spy thriller while his second movie will be an adaptation of Roald Dahl's book for children The BFG.
"DreamWorks have set the release dates for the two movies with the untitled Cold War spy drama featuring Tom Hanks slated to hit theatres on October 16, 2015 while The BFG will open on July 1, 2016", said the Hollywood Reporter. He is also associated with an adaptation of the David Kertzer novels The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara, Robopocalypse and Montezuma.
