Suchitra Sen died on January 17

The ashes of actress Suchitra Senwere immersed in Ganga river today.
Her ashes was immersed by daughter Moon Moon Sen and granddaughter Riya Sen in the holy river at Assi Ghat here.
Mrs Sen captured the public's imagination with hermemorable films like Agnipariksha, Devdas and Saat PaakeBandha in the 50s and 60s.The doe-eyed beauty turned a recluse after biddingadieu to the world of films in the late seventies and wasoften compared to Hollywood icon Greta Garbo, who also shunnedpublic contact after leaving showbiz.
Mrs Sen died on January 17 following cardiac arrest. The82-year-old actress had been ill for sometime.
