Los Angeles:
Summit Entertainment hasfiled a case against the alleged hacker responsible forleaking the highly anticipated images from Twilight: BreakingDawn online.
The studio has filed a civil case in US District Courtin Los Angeles and in Argentina against Daiana Santia, amongothers, for allegedly stealing photographs, unfinished imagesand video from both parts of Breaking Dawn.
A criminal case has also been filed in Argentinaagainst the hacker for illegally releasing the images from themovie online in March, the Variety reported.
"While we very much appreciate the legions ofcommitted fans of the franchise and encourage them to create acommunity online, we cannot ignore that property was stolen,"said David C Friedman, exec VP and general counsel.
"It is not fair to the majority of fans that want tosee the final chapter of the Twilight Saga film franchisefully realized by the filmmaker and dedicated cast and crew,to have these images out and available on the Internet."
On March 31, images of Bella and Edward's honeymoonwere posted on several sites, forcing the studio to issue aplea to fans to stop the spread of the photos. The film'sstory revolves around the love and marriage between mortalBella and the vampire Edward, played by Kristen Stewart andRobert Pattinson.
The first part of Breaking Dawn will be released onNovember 18 and the second, a year later on November 16, 2012.
