Suniel Shetty, who is currently busy promoting his web series Dharavi Bank, recently commented on Kartik Aaryan replacing Akshay Kumar in Hera Pheri 3 and said, "Akshay cannot be replaced." Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the actor expressed that it would be amazing if the original cast of the Hera Pheri franchise returned for Hera Pheri 3. He said, "That would be the best thing to happen. There are speculations that Kartik replaced Akshay. See, Akshay cannot be replaced. The makers are in talks with Kartik for a completely different character. So, there's no argument."
The actor also expressed that without his co-star Akshay Kumar, the film will not be the same. "That void will always be there. What finally happens is something that needs to be seen. I am not aware because I am genuinely busy with Dharavi Bank. I have had no time to sit down and work on all this. After November 19, I'll sit down and understand and talk to Akki and others and see what happened."
Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal's 2000 film Hera Pheri and 2006 film Phir Hera Pheri were massive hits at the time of its release and continue to have a massive following till date.
Just a few days ago, Paresh Rawal on his Twitter handle confirmed that Kartik Aaryan is associated with Hera Pheri 3. There were also reports that Akshay Kumar has stepped out of the film.
At a recent event, Akshay Kumar spoke about the film and said that he wasn't happy with the film's script and that's why he stepped out of the project.
