"This year we decided to bring Sunny Leone and through one of our friends, we managed to rope in the Jism 2 actress and decided to pay Rs 5 lakh for her presence," he added.

- NCP MP and former city party president Vandana Chavan, who is in Delhi, expressed surprise over the enthusiasm shown by her party workers in extending an invitation to Sunny Leone.
- "There is a drought-like situation in the state and it is surprising to know that people are ready to spend Rs 5 lakh to invite a celebrity as a chief guest," she said. Vandana Chavan said she would take up the issue with the party high command.
