Henry Cavill,who is all set to turn Superman in an upcoming project, hasgot engaged to his longtime girlfriend Ellen Whitaker.
The 28-year-old popped the question to the Britishathlete while they were visiting Hollywood. The actor haseven sought permission from Whitaker's father, reportedPeople magazine.
"I couldn't believe it when he asked me to marry him.I thought we were there to celebrate his birthday. It was sucha surprise and I am so happy," said Whitaker.
Cavill has appeared in the movies like 'The Count ofMonte Cristo' and 'Stardust'. The actor will be seen in thethriller 'The Cold Day of Light' and 'Immortals'.
