Welcoming 2025 with a bang, Suriya has dropped a new poster from his upcoming film, Retro.
He shared the poster on Instagram and wrote, "Happy 2025! Lots of love, lots of light and lots of happiness! #retro."
The poster features the actor looking dapper in a sea-blue jacket and denims. Suriya is seen posing by a car on a field, surrounded by sheep. The tagline reads, "Love, Laughter and War."

Last week, Suriya shared the Retro teaser link on X and wrote, "Merry Christmas to all. Retro is coming in the summer of 2025... See you soon...."
The teaser opens with Suriya and Pooja Hegde sitting by the ghats of Varanasi, by the Ganga. Suriya is in a black kurta, while Pooja is in a bright pink saree.
In the teaser, as Pooja ties a sacred thread on his wrist, Suriya looks into her eyes and says, "I will control my anger. I will stop working with my father. Violence, hooliganism, lathi-bullets, I will leave everything now. I will try to smile and try to be happy. The purpose of my life is love in your words. Pure love. That's it. I am saying everything directly and honestly. Now tell me, should we get married?"
Pooja kisses his forehead and agrees.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the cast of Retro comprises Suriya, Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, and Prakash Raj. The film's music has been composed by Santhosh Narayanan and cinematography is by Shreyaas Krishna.
Suriya was last seen in Siva's epic fantasy drama, Kanguva. Despite the high expectations riding on it, the movie received a lukewarm response from the audiences.
