The Rocky star, who is the executive producer of the new TV series Rambo: New Blood, will also appear in the show.
The television drama will focus on the relationship between mercenary Rambo and his son, a character that has not appeared in any of the four movies in the franchise featuring Rambo.
The 69-year-old actor first appeared onscreen as John Rambo in 1982's First Blood.
In addition to the series, the Creed actor is also developing a TV show based on his movie The Expendables.
