Tabu on the sets of Fitoor.
Mumbai:
Tabu, who has replaced veteran actress Rekha in Fitoor, will bring a whole new energy to her part in the movie, said director Abhishek Kapoor.
"Tabu is a powerhouse of talent and has made her mark as a strong performer in this male-dominated industry of ours. Her wonderful performances in Indian and international cinema are too many to be named. She is an actress who fearlessly goes against the tide and isn't afraid to break stereotypes," Abhishek Kapoor told IANS. (Also Read: Great Expectations of Tabu as She Replaces Rekha in Fitoor)
"I am confident that she will bring a whole new energy to her part in Fitoor. I am honoured to have her in my film," he said.
Amrita Pandey from UTV said Tabu that "has been a part of the UTV family since The Namesake, and most recently in Haider".
"In both movies, her performance has been the emotional fulcrum of the narrative, and we are very happy to have a chance to work with her again in Fitoor," she added.
Fitoor, which is an adaptation of Charles Dickens' The Great Expectations, also stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif, among others.
