Chennai: Director KV Anand's Tamil action thriller Maattrraan, which features actor Suriya in the role of conjoined twins, has been passed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a U-certificate.
The film will hit the screens worldwide Oct 12 in over 1,400 theatres.
Maattrraan will be released in Telugu too and the 37-year-old actor has for the first time dubbed in Telugu for the film along with his younger brother Karthi.
"It is a very emotional family entertainer and it will explore a sensitive relationship between two brothers who play conjoined twins," Suriya said at an event recently.
Maattrraan is produced by AGS Entertainment, while Eros International will distribute it.
