Mumbai: Unusual promotional activities are being planned for the sequel, but the producer said it was too early to reveal anything about them.
The film will hit theatres in May this year.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns will begin from where the original 2011 movie ended, says producer Krishika Lulla.
"I always feel a sequel should be a continuation of the previous one. 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' will continue from where the first film ended. Many sequels are being made in Bollywood, but either the actors are replaced or the story is completely changed. So, here's a sequel in the true sense," Krishika Lulla said.
Directed by Anil L Rai, Tanu Weds Manu Returns features Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan in the lead roles.
The film will hit theatres in May this year.
